The District of Saint-Porchaire is a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It comprises 20 parishes in the Saintes arrondissement . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was expanded in spring 2015.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Saint-Porchaire included the 15 municipalities of Beurlay , Crazannes , Geay , La Vallée , Les Essards , Plassay , Pont-l'Abbé-d'Arnoult , Port-d'Envaux , Romegoux , Saint-Porchaire , Saint-Sulpice-d'Arnoult , Sainte-Gemme , Sainte-Radegonde , Soulignonne and Trizay . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​235.54 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 1732.
