The Canton Royan-Est was 2015 a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the former region Poitou-Charentes . It comprised a municipality and the eastern parts of the main town (chef-lieu) Royan in Rochefort . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Dominique Bussereau was the last representative in the conseil général des Départements for the years 1985–2015.
