The District of Saint-Agnant was 2015 a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the former region Poitou-Charentes . It comprised eleven parishes in the Arrondissement of Rochefort ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Saint-Agnant . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Robert Chatelier ( UMP ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Department for the years 2008–2015 .
