Beaugeay belongs to the Arrondissement of Rochefort and the Canton of Marennes (until 2015: Canton Saint-Agnant ). The inhabitants are called Beaugeatins .

geography

Beaugeay is located about seven kilometers south-southwest of Rochefort city ​​center on the Canal de Brouage . Beaugeay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Soubise in the north, Saint-Agnant in the east, Saint-Jean-d'Angle in the south and south-east, Marennes-Hiers-Brouage in the south-west and Moëze in the west and north-west.
