Landrais is a French municipality with 736 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Rochefort and is part of the canton of Surgères . The inhabitants are called Landraisiens .
geography
Landrais is located about 30 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis region . The river Devise limits the community in the southeast. Landrais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Forges in the north and north-west, Saint-Pierre-la-Noue in the north and east, Muron in the south and south-east, Ardillières in the south and south-west, Ciré-d'Aunis in the south-west and Le Thou in the west.
