Breuil-Magné is a French commune with 1,685 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Fouras belongs to the Arrondissement of Rochefort and the Canton of Tonnay-Charente (until 2015: Canton of Rochefort-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Breuillais .
geography
Breuil-Magné is near the Atlantic Ocean (about eight kilometers to the west). The river Devise forms the western boundary of the municipality . Breuil-Magné is surrounded by the neighboring communities Ballon in the north, Ciré-d'Aunis in the northeast, Loire-les-Marais in the east, Rochefort in the south, Vergeroux in the south and southwest, and Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée in the west as well Yves in the northwest.
