history
The village of Broue in the municipality used to be of far greater importance. The ruins, the keep and the two earlier church buildings bear witness to a supraregional center of the Middle Ages. Only with the decline in modern times did the area become depopulated. Around 1,500 people lived here during the French Revolution.
