Saint-Laurent-de-la- Prée is a French commune with 2,114 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Fouras belongs to the Arrondissement of Rochefort and the Canton of Châtelaillon-Plage (until 2015: Canton of Rochefort-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Laurentais .

Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée is close to the Atlantic Ocean (about 1.5 kilometers to the west). In the south of the municipality, the Charente River flows into which the motto flows.
