Saint-Just-Luzac is a French commune with 1,993 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Rochefort and the canton of Marennes . The inhabitants are called Saint-Justais et Luzacais .
geography
Saint-Just-Luzac is located on the salt marshes and the estuary of the Seudre in the Atlantic Ocean in the historic Saintonge landscape . Saint-Just-Luzac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jean-d'Angle in the east and northeast, La Gripperie-Saint-Symphorien in the east, Saint-Sornin in the southeast, Nieulle-sur-Seudre in the south, Arvert in the southwest, La Tremblade in the west and Marennes-Hiers-Brouage in the north, west and northwest.
The small Marennes airfield is located in the municipality.
