Moragne is a French municipality with 507 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Moragne belongs to the Arrondissement of Rochefort and the Canton of Tonnay-Charente . The inhabitants are called Moragnais .
geography
Moragne is about twelve kilometers east-northeast of Rochefort city center . Moragne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Genouillé in the north, Saint-Crépin in the northeast, Tonnay-Boutonne in the east, Saint-Coutant-le-Grand in the south, Lussant in the southwest and Tonnay-Charente in the west.
