The film presents young talents participating in various activities. In some scenes the children are shown experiencing something for the first time. The children and young people have a wide range of opportunities to test their skills, be it skiing, golfing, shooting, car racing, horse riding and various other sports.

The film was made by Vitaphone Corp. for Warner Bros. produced. In the United States, World of Kids was first published on June 23, 1951. The film is part of the World of Sports Series . The rights to this series were held by Columbia Pictures Corp. The films were entered separately under their respective titles.

Award

At the Academy Awards in 1952 , Robert Youngson was awarded an Oscar for the film's producer in the category "Best Short Film" (a film role) .
