Cabariot is a French commune with 1,341 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Lussant belongs to the Arrondissement of Rochefort and the Canton of Tonnay-Charente . The inhabitants are called Cabariotais .
geography
Cabariot is located about eight kilometers east-northeast of the city center of Rochefort on the Charente , which borders the municipality in the south and into which the Boutonne flows here. Cabariot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tonnay-Charente in the north and north-west, Lussant in the east and north-east, Champdolent in the east and south-east, Bords in the south-east, La Vallée in the south and Saint-Hippolyte in the west.
The A837 autoroute runs through the municipality .
