The Autoroute A 837 , also known as the Autoroute des Oiseaux , is a short French motorway that runs exclusively in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It begins at the junction with the A 10 north of Saintes and ends after 35.0 km in Rochefort , where it merges into the D137 département road towards La Rochelle . A 837 and D137 together form the E 602 La Rochelle - Saintes.

The A 837 has been expanded to consist of two lanes in each direction and is subject to tolls with the exception of the last section in Rochefort.
