The Autoroute A 851 was a planned French motorway that was to be included in the motorway network by renaming the eight-kilometer section between the Boulevard Périphérique in the city of Tours and the motorway 85 near Druyes .

The plans for the rededication reached back to the mid-1990s, when the section of the A85 from Druyes to Vierzon was declared as a project of public use and the section at that time was to remain signposted as a motorway. Even before the A85 was completely handed over to traffic, the section was downgraded to National Road 851 on July 7, 2006 .
