L'Éguille is a western French community with 872 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Saintes and the Canton Saujon (until 2015: Canton Royan-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Éguillais .

L'Éguille is located in the old cultural landscape of the Saintonge about four kilometers northwest of Saintes am Seudre . L'Éguille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Gua in the north and east, Saujon in the south-east, Saint-Sulpice-de-Royan in the south and south-west and Mornac-sur-Seudre in the west.
