Bouhet is a French municipality with 903 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Bouhet is about 13 kilometers east of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis countryside . Bouhet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Gué-d'Alleré in the north, Benon in the north-east, Vouhé in the east, Puyravault in the east and south-east, Virson in the south and south-west and Anais in the west and north-west.
