The Pierres Closes charas , Dolmen 1 and less than 200m away Dolmen 2 are two identical, as Dolmen called rock tombs in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée in Rochefort in the Charente-Maritime in France .

This chamber is something special as a dolmen in that it consists of an oval chamber about 1.7 m long, 1.0 m wide and 0.7 m high, which was carved out of a solid limestone block and therefore Pierre's Closes ( French closed stones ) is called.

The rest of this chamber in the marshes of the Charente estuary lies in the middle of a field. It's another oval chamber carved out of a massive limestone boulder . But only the lower half of the chamber is preserved here.

Chambers hewn out of boulders are rare. B. But also at Dwarfie Stane on Orkney and at Campu Luntanu on sardines .
