Campu Luntanu (also called Lontanu) is an unusual rock tomb of the nuragic culture , which was designed in the style of the older giant tombs with a portal stele with an architectural front ( Domus a prospetto architettonico in Italian ). It is located, along with 102 other registered prehistoric sites (including 40 nuraghi) near Florinas or Ossi in the province of Sassari in Sardinia .

Campu Luntanu has a certain resemblance to the nearby Domus de Janas of Molafa , Mesu 'e Montes , Sa Rocca and Su Lampu and Su Carralzu , but, unlike these structures carved out of a rock wall, is made of a monolith that extends itself from the steep face of the Rocca Bianca and remained lying on the high meadow. The same phenomenon applies to Paesanu , Su Crastu de Santu Eliseu in Sardinia and the Dwarfie Stane on the island of Hoy in the Scottish Orkney .

The chamber, which is offset on one side to the right, is as long as the boulder, but narrower than half of the block in width. However, since the entrance leads into the chamber offset on the left, the impression of the entire block is hollowed out. The access is stepped so that the locking plate inserted in the front area is held in place. The system has a second entrance that was installed later. In the front right, next to the main entrance, there is an only slightly raised platform.

Nearby are the Nuraghe Corvos, Sa Menta, Su Tumbone and the curiously designed rock cavity "Campu Luntanu II"
