Paesanu

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The two small Domus de Janas of Paesanu are located south of Ossi in the province of Sassari in Sardinia .

Paesanu has a certain resemblance to Campu Luntanu and Su Crastu de Santu Eliseu , which, unlike the many complexes carved out of rock walls , were created in a monolith that has detached itself from a steep wall. The same phenomenon applies to the Dwarfie Stane on the island of Hoy in the Scottish Orkney .

In the distribution of the facilities, which are located in the south of Ossi on an area of about three square kilometers, it is noticeable that 39 of the 44 Domus de Janas are distributed over six necropolises ( Mesu 'e Montes , S'Adde e Asile and S'Isterridolzu) , two each are in Nannareddu and Paesanu, while one is isolated in Su Littigheddu.
