Heike Theele

Heike Theele , b. Terpe, (born October 4, 1964 in Magdeburg ) is a former German athlete who competed for the GDR .

In 1983 she reached the finals over 100 meter hurdles at GDR athletics championships for the first time and was fifth. In 1985 she took third place behind Cornelia Oschkenat and Kerstin Knabe . Her two best championship placements were second places in 1986 and 1989 behind Cornelia Oschkenat. Heike Theele started in eleven international matches wearing the GDR national jersey. At the European Championships in 1986 , she finished fourth in 12.82 s. In 1987 she retired from the European Indoor Championships in the interim. She won the Universiade in 1987 in 12.87 seconds.

She set her best time of 12.63 s on June 27, 1986 in Jena. The 1.72 m tall Heike Theele started for SC Magdeburg and was trained by Klaus Wübbenhorst.
