The canton of Ars-en-Ré was 2015 a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the former region Poitou-Charentes . It included five parishes in the arrondissement of La Rochelle ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Ars-en-Ré . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Lionel Quillet was last representative in the conseil général des Départements for the years 2008–2015.
