The canton of Archiac was 2015 a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the former region Poitou-Charentes . It comprised 17 parishes in the arrondissement of Jonzac ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Archiac . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015 and the incorporation of its municipalities into the canton of Jonzac .
