Saint-Eugène is a French municipality with 276 inhabitants (1 January 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Jonzac and the canton of Jonzac ( Archiac until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Eugénois .

Saint-Eugène is located about 81 kilometers north-northeast of Bordeaux . Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Eugène are Saint-Palais-du-Né in the north, Lachaise in the east and northeast, Barret in the east, Guimps in the south and east, Brie-sous-Archiac in the south and southwest, Arthenac in the west and Archiac in the northwest.
