Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde is a French municipality with 825 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Jonzac and the canton of Pons (until 2015 Mirambeau ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Bonnetais .

Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde is located about seventy kilometers north of Bordeaux near the Gironde estuary . Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sorlin-de-Conac in the north and west, Saint-Georges-des-Agoûts in the north, Semoussac in the north and north-east, Saint-Martial-de-Mirambeau in the north-east, Mirambeau in the east, Pleine-Selve in the south-east, Saint-Palais in the south and south-east and Saint-Ciers-sur-Gironde in the south and south-west.
