Meux church and castle

Meux is a French municipality with 316 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Jonzac and the canton of Jonzac . The inhabitants are called Meuxois .

geography

Meux is about 55 kilometers southwest of Angoulême . Meux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Réaux sur Trèfle in the north and northwest, Allas-Champagne in the north and northeast, Saint-Ciers-Champagne in the east, Saint-Germain-de-Vibrac in the southeast and Champagnac in the south and west.
