Coulonges is a western French community with 241 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Jonzac and the canton Thénac (until 2015 Pons ). The inhabitants are called Coulongeois .

Coulonges is located about 22 kilometers southeast of Saintes in the cultural landscape of the Saintonge . Coulonges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pérignac in the north and northwest, Ars in the north and northeast, Celles in the east, Lonzac in the southeast and Échebrune in the south and west.
