The inhabitants are called Salignacais .

Salignac-de-Mirambeau is surrounded by the neighboring communities Allas-Bocage in the north and north-west, Agudelle in the north, Villexavier in the north-east, Rouffignac in the east, Courpignac in the south and Soubran in the west.
