Messac Town Hall

Messac is a southwestern French community with 105 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Jonzac and the canton Les Trois Monts (until 2015 Montendre ). The inhabitants are called Messacais .

location

Messac is located in the south of the Saintonge about 65 kilometers north-northeast of Bordeaux . Messac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Léoville in the north and north-west, Vanzac in the north and east, Mérignac in the south and south-east, Pommiers-Moulons in the south-west and Vibrac in the west.
