Semoussac is a French municipality with 364 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Jonzac and the canton of Pons (until 2015: canton of Mirambeau ). The inhabitants are called Semoussacais .

Semoussac is located about 70 kilometers north-northwest of Bordeaux . Semoussac is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Ciers-du-Taillon in the north, Consac and Semillac in the northeast, Saint-Martial-de-Mirambeau in the east, Saint-Bonnes-sur-Gironde in the south and southwest, Saint-Georges-des- Agoûts to the west and south-west and Saint-Thomas-de-Conac to the west and north-west.
