Consac is a French municipality with 211 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Jonzac and the canton of Jonzac . The inhabitants are called Consacais .

geography

Consac is about 70 kilometers north of Bordeaux . Consac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plassac in the north, Saint-Sigismond-de-Clermont in the northeast, Nieul-le-Virouil in the east, Saint-Dizant-du-Bois in the southeast, Semillac in the south, Semoussac in the southwest and Saint-Ciers- du-Taillon to the west.

The A10 autoroute runs through the municipality .
