Saint-Hilaire-du-Bois is a French commune with 332 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Jonzac and the canton of Jonzac (until 2015 Mirambeau ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Hilairois .

Saint-Hilaire-du-Bois is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Guitinières in the north and north-west, Clion in the north, Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan in the north-east, Saint-Simon-de-Bordes in the east and south-east and Nieul-le-Virouil in the South and west.
