Coux is a southwestern French community with 456 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Jonzac and the canton Les Trois Monts (until 2015 Montendre ). The inhabitants are called Couxois .

location

Coux is located in the south of the Saintonge about 55 kilometers north-northeast of Bordeaux . Coux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chartuzac in the north, Tugéras-Saint-Maurice in the north and north-east, Expiremont in the east and north-east, Montendre in the south and east, Souméras in the south and south-west, Chamouillac in the west and Rouffignac in the west and north-west.
