Saint-Rogatien is a French commune with 2,206 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle , the canton of La Jarrie and is a member of the commune association La Rochelle Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Rogatien (ne) s (also: Rogaton (ne) s ).
geography
Saint-Rogatien is located about five kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis landscape . Saint-Rogatien is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Périgny in the north and north-west, Montroy in the north-east, Clavette in the east, La Jarne in the south and Aytré in the south-west.
