Cramchaban is a French municipality with 655 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017), in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine located. It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle and the canton of Marans (until 2015: canton of Courçon ). The inhabitants are called Cramois or Cramchabanais .

Cramchaban is about 32 kilometers east-northeast of La Rochelle . Cramchaban is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Hilaire-la-Palud in the north, Prin-Deyrançon in the east and northeast, Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon in the east and southeast, Saint-Pierre-d'Amilly in the south, Benon in the west and South-west, La Laigne in the west and La Grève-sur-Mignon in the north-west.
The Route nationale 11 runs through the south of the municipality .
