La Laigne is a French municipality with 474 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017), in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ) is located. It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle and the canton of Marans (until 2015: canton of Courçon ). The inhabitants are called La Laigniens .
geography
La Laigne is about 35 kilometers east-northeast of La Rochelle . La Laigne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Grève-sur-Mignon in the north, Cramchaban in the east and Benon in the south and west.
The National Route 11 runs through the municipality .
