The N 10 is a French national road that emerged from Route impériale 11 in 1824. It ran from Paris to the Spanish border near Irún, where from 1940 it passed into the Carretera Nacional NI to Madrid. Their length was 828 kilometers. In 1949 it was run between Rambouillet and Chartres via Ablis. To do this, it took over a section of the N188 and the N191. The N306 was extended over the vacated route. It also took over the route of the N132 between Bordeaux and Saint-Geours-de-Maremne. In return, their old route was divided between the N 113, N 132 and N 124 (from north to south). Their length was now 772.5 kilometers. Between Saint-Geours-de-Maremne and south of Belin-Béliet, the N 10 has been expanded into an expressway. This was upgraded to the A63 motorway in 2013. In 2006 the sub-sections were graded, so that today it consists of four parts.

N 10b

The N 10 ^B was a side branch of the N 10, which branched off from this 1933-1973 in Bidart, leading north to the center of Biarritz, where the N 10 ^A thrust. Today the street bears the number D 911.

N 10c

The N 10 ^C was a branch of the N10, which branched off in Saint-Jean-de-Luz from 1933 to 1973 and led on the Atlantic coast via Socoa, Hendaye-Plage and Hendaye to the Spanish border at Irún. Today it bears the number D912.

N 10d

The N 10 ^D was a side branch of the N10, which branched off from this in Béhobie in 1962 and led to the Spanish border. In 1978 it was downgraded to the N111 and 2006. Another N10 ^D was built in 1972 as a southern bypass of Chartres. This became the N123 in 1978 and is now partially graduated.

N 10e

The N 10 ^E was a side branch of the N 10, the west from 1973 Ciboure ran around while the A 63 to the N 10 ^C combined. In 1975 it was already downgraded and now bears the number D 913.
