The Route nationale 486 , or N 486 or RN 486 for short , was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between Gérardmer and Besançon. Their length was 136.5 kilometers. In 1978 the N186 A was renumbered N486. This was then integrated into the N186 in 2000. Currently there is the N486 as a connection between the A4 west and A86 north in the places Champigny-sur-Marne and Nogent-sur-Marne. It replaces the third missing connection for a motorway triangle.
