Street as N7

The N41 is a French national road that ran in 1824 between the N16 north of Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise and the Belgian border at Tournai. It goes back to route 54 impériale. Their length was 75 kilometers. In 1933 a road between Frévent and the N25 near Saint-Riquier was upgraded to become part of the N41. The total length grew to 106 kilometers. This section, as well as the section between Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin and the border, was graduated in 1973. In 1978 it took over the section of the N16 from Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise north to the junction where it had started until then:

  • N 16 Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise - junction with N41
  • N 41 junction with N16 - A25

In 2006 there was a gradation between the new N47 (ex N347bis) and Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise. The remainder of the stretch was expanded into an expressway.
