The N532 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between the Col des Baraques and Sassenage. Their total length was 119.5 kilometers. The section between Tain and Romans is the D3, established in 1813 in the Drôme department. In 1978 a new N532 was formed between Saint-Péray and Grenoble:

The section between Tournon-sur-Rhône and junction 13 of the A7 became the N95.

In 2006 it was downgraded to the section between Valence and Bourg-de-Péage, where it connects the A49 with the eastern bypass of Valence.
