The N533 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between Saint-Agrève and Valence. Their length was 60 kilometers. The Rhône bridge had been a national road since 1884. It was listed as the second branch of the N7. In 1978 it was stepped down to this Rhone bridge, and together with the N533 A, a new N533 was formed:

The N533 A was a side branch of the N533 from 1933 to 1973, which branched off from this in Guilherand-Granges and led southwest to the N86. Their length was 2.5 kilometers. In 1978 it was taken over by the N533.
