The N103 was a French national road established in 1824 between the N86 north of La Voulte-sur-Rhône and the N88 east of Le Puy-en-Velay. It goes back to the route impériale 123. Their length was 94 kilometers. In 1863 it was moved to a new route between Saint-Laurent-du-Pape and Retournac. The length was 125 kilometers. In 1933, when the N88bis was taken over, it was extended to Le Puy-en-Velay and the length increased to 158.5 kilometers. The piece over the Loire bridge until after Retournac into became the N103 A . In 1973 the N103 was completely phased out. In 1978 the N52bis between Briey and Jarny was renumbered as N103. This route has been the D613 since 2006.
