The Route nationale 204 A , or N 204 A or RN 204 A for short , was a French national road .

The road was built in 1895 as a link between La Trinité and La Turbie . Initially without a number, it was given in 1933. The length was 9 kilometers. It ran through the Vallon de Lageht , which is separated from the Mediterranean by a nearly 700 meter high mountain range. After the place Laghet the valley ends and the road led to the Mediterranean side, where from 1978 it crossed under the Viaduc de Borriglione of the Autobahn 8 . In 1973 the national road was then  downgraded to the department road 2204 A and classified as a route métropolitaine in 2012 . In this context, it should be given a new numbering.
