The Route nationale 131 , or N 131 or RN 131 for short , was a French national road .

The road was laid between Agen and Manciet in 1824 and goes back to route 151 impériale. The length was 74 kilometers.

1973 the national road was graduated. In 1978 the southern bypass of Compiègne was designated as the N 131. This was downgraded to Départementsstraße 1131 in 2006 .

As of 2004, a section of the original National Road 131 south of Eauze as part of the Itinéraire à Grand Gabarit is designated as National Road 524 . At Agen, the former route through Agen Airport has been interrupted and relocated to a more eastern route.
