The Route nationale 197 , shortly N 197 or RN 197 , is a French national road in Corsica, which was established in 1836 between Calvi and Ponte Leccia. In 1862 it was extended to Prunete. Its length grew to 146 kilometers. In 1973 this extension was reversed, it was also relocated via L'Île-Rousse on the route of the N199 to Lozari and from there it went on to Belgodère via route forestière 3 for the original tour:

In 1991 a new road was opened between Monetta and the N197 north of Ponte-Leccia under the number N1197. In 2010, the N197 was relocated to this route and its old route was renumbered as N2197. The current route of the N197 is to be run as Route Territorial 30 in the future.

N 1197

The Route nationale 1197 , or N 1197 or RN 1197 for short , was a French national road on Corsica that was put into operation in 1991 between Lozari and the N197 northwest of Ponte Leccia. It consists of the route of the old N199, Départementstrasse 8 and a new section that makes up about half of the 30-kilometer route. In 2010 the number was renumbered to N197 - at the same time the previous route of the N197 became the N2197.

N 2197

The Route nationale 2197 , or N 2197 or RN 2197 for short , is the old route of the N197, which was placed on the route of the N1197 in 2010.
