The Route nationale 160 , or N 160 or RN 160 for short , was a French national road .

It was established in 1824 between Saumur and Les Sables-d'Olonne and goes back to route 180 impériale. Their length was 165.5 kilometers. In 1973, the section between Saumur and Nuaillé was graduated and from there it took over the route of the national road 161 to Angers , so that its route was composed as follows:

N 161 Angers - Nuaillé
N 160 Nuaillé - Les Sables-d'Olonne

Between 1998 and 2004 the expressway between La Roche-sur-Yon and Les Sables d'Olonne was put into operation and the national road 160 was placed on it. The old route that ran parallel was rededicated as National Road 2160 . In 2006 the N 160 and N 2160 were downgraded.

N 160a

The Route nationale 610 ^A short N 610 ^A or RN 610 ^A , was a French national road and also a side branch of the N 160 in La Roche-sur-Yon the Place Napoléon circulated south. The road was designated as National Road 149 ^{Bis A} in 1862 and rededicated to N N160 ^A in 1933 , as the N149bis in La Roche-sur-Yon became part of the N148 that year. It disappeared from the network of national roads the following year.
