Brandois Castle

La Mothe-Achard is a former French commune with last 2,870 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belonged to the Arrondissement of Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire .

With effect from January 1, 2017, La Mothe-Achard was merged with La Chapelle-Achard to form Commune nouvelle Les Achards .
