La Chapelle-Achard is a former French commune with last 1,920 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belonged to the Arrondissement of Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire (until 2015: canton of La Mothe-Achard ). The inhabitants are called Chapelois .

With effect from January 1, 2017, La Chapelle-Achard was merged with La Mothe-Achard to form Commune nouvelle Les Achards .

La Chapelle-Achard is about 22 kilometers west-southwest of La Roche-sur-Yon and about 18 kilometers northeast of Les Sables-d'Olonne . La Chapelle-Achard is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Saint-Julien-des-Landes in the north and north-west, La Mothe-Achard in the north, Sainte-Flaive-des-Loups in the east, Le Girouard in the east and south-east, Grosbreuil in the south and south-east , Saint-Mathurin to the west and south-west and Vairé to the west.
