Le Girouard is a French village with 1,050 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire (until 2015: canton of La Mothe-Achard ).

Le Girouard is about 21 kilometers west-southwest of La Roche-sur-Yon and about 17 kilometers northeast of Les Sables-d'Olonne . Le Girouard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Flaive-des-Loups in the north, Nieul-le-Dolent in the east, Grosbreuil in the south and Les Achards with La Chapelle-Achard in the west and north-west.
