La Jonchère is a French village with 450 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais (until 2015: canton of Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits ). The inhabitants are called Jonchérois .
geography
La Jonchère is located about 26 kilometers south of La Roche-sur-Yon and about 32 kilometers east-southeast of Les Sables-d'Olonne . La Jonchère is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Givre in the north, Saint-Cyr-en-Talmondais in the east and northeast, Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer in the south and southeast, Angles in the south and Le Bernard in the west.
