Grosbreuil is a French commune with 2,177 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne and the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire . The inhabitants are called Grosbreuilois .

geography

Grosbreuil is about ten kilometers from the French Atlantic coast , here the Côte de Lumière . The Vertonne River has its source in the far east of the municipality. Grosbreuil is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Girouard in the north, Nieul-le-Dolent in the northeast, Poiroux in the east and southeast, Talmont-Saint-Hilaire in the south, Sainte-Foy in the west and Les Achards with La Chapelle-Achard in the north-west.
